Well it looked like a typical workout gym, but in the center was a large Poke-Battle field.

"Well hello there." And suddenly a large man approached, wiping his face with a towel. "What can I do for you?"

"Oh... uh... hello, sir..." He said, bowing slightly. "I-I'm a new trainer and somebody suggested to come here to train up my Pokemon..."

"Well you're in luck. We're just setting up a tiny little tournament. You get to battle three trainers. If you win, you get a rare Pokemon."

"R-Really?!" He gasped... hoping the rare Pokemon is a Flying-type, a Fire-type or even...



....the chosen Starter!!!



....I've gotta control my imagination... He shook his head. "OK, I'll do it!"

He's just hoping none of the Pokemon he'll be facing are too high-leveled...

Looking at his watch, "Alright, we're starting right now, so just get into position on the field, boy."

"OK, sir!" He said, heading over to the field. I've got four Pokemon... that'll be enough... I hope...

He took his position and waited...

Trainer Appears!!

And on the opposite end was a young nerdy boy...the same one he met back in the Center. "Oh. You again? I thought the Ice Queen destroyed your shell."

[Ninetalesuk]

"Uh... I did some training and waited for her to leave..." He said, sweatdropping a little.

[AnT]

"I doubt all that training will do any good against her. She's like a barbaric equation that cannot be calculated. But whatever..." With that, he tossed out two poke-balls...

One was a Venonat... "Veno!!"

And the other was a fluttering bat.

Lv 9 Zubat and Lv. 8 Venonat wants to fight.

A double battle, huh...? Like a normal battle, except use two Pokemon at once... hmm... I know!!

He threw two Pokeballs. "Poochyena! Cranidos! Go!!!"

The nerd boy tilted his glasses. "Hm...that Cranidos will cause some problems." He knew for fact it needs to be distracted later.

"Venonat!! Use Supersonic on the Cranidos!!" its trainer shouted.

"Veno!" Vibrating its antennas, it emitted a sonic wave. This was a sharp and unnerving noise which would have been enough to cause any Pokemon to to go crazy with confusion.

Meanwhile, Zubat dived right for the puppy, aiming to sink its teeth on it and drain its blood.

He sighed in relief... but, now Cranidos is confused... I-I've got no choice... "Poochyena, use Tackle on Venonat!!!"



"Yena!" He barked, charging at the Bug Pokemon...

"Here we go... Cranidos, use Smack Down on Zubat!!!"



"Crani...?" He glanced around...

...and saw the bat. "Crani!!!" And charged...

Quickly, the bug bounced out of the canine's way...

But alas, the bat was instantly flatten under the dinos' weight. It was like roadkill, but thankfully it was still alive...somewhat.

"Oh no!!!" the nerd cried. And the worse part was that they can only use two Pokemon each match.

For the furry bug just bounced right up to its trainer, with the wind knocked out of it.
