That was embarrassing; being trenched by a flock of grabby birds, when Ekans and Koffing made it look like kitty's play. Oh well, there's always the bag of Rare Candies for emergencies.

Rubbing her neck, Jessie sat down by the water. "Well, at least Ekans and Koffing benefited from this." she said with a content sigh.



"...but we haven't caught any Pokémon around here yet..." James complained, as he sat down as well.



"Oh, don't complain. There's tons of Pokémon in the water for you to pick from!"



They simply sighed, before glancing back at the water; as if they expected to see something strong just leap out at them.

Behind the waves down the ocean, they would see blinking lights, like some type of floatation device used to control water traffic.

"Hm?" Pulling out binoculars, Meowth spotted a strange fish with antennas that seemed to have light bulbs on each of them. "It's a Chinchou! Too bad it's pretty far out in da waters."

Though it's a wonder why a sophisticated fish like that was doing out in the open. Perhaps it got attracted to Pikachu's electric blast.

Chinchou Lv 8 is chilling in the waters.

"...well... it shouldn't be a problem for Koffing. I mean, he can levitate, so the water shouldn't be a problem."

"...well... alright. Koffing, go and weaken that Chinchou!"



With a slight nod, Koffing began floating over the water, headed towards Chinchou.

"GYA!" The blue dragon roared, floating by Fein to mount on.

But it was not the only one around, thankfully, as more of the electric fishes poked out of the water, now looking like a Christmas ornament in the ocean.


Seems that one wasn't the only one attracted to Pikacu's electricity. "Not again...."

"...just focus on the one, Koffing! I'm going to catch one of those!" James called. "After that, you can try knocking out as many as you can!"



"Koffi!" Nodding, Koffing spewed some smog aimed at one of the Chinchou.

Thanks to a common Rocket grunt, who looked out of breath. "Sir!!" he saluted to Surge. "I regret to inform you that our Shadow-Lure mission is in danger. That boy with the purifying Pikachu and his friends are ruining things. We need the Snagger to help us. Koffing, however, took the blasts without flinching, as he breathed out more smog to cover the one Pokémon he was dealing with.

Overhearing that something was going wrong, Jessie raised an eyebrow. ...that Pikachu again...? "...who's... in charge of this operation, then?" she asked the grunt.

...letting out his Pikachu again. "Pi?"



Glancing at Fein, Surge hummed. "You can bring my Pikachu as backup. They can't exactly trace it back to me if I don't show up, so just him should work out fine."
