"You're a Champion?!?" She gawked at Steven. "Steven, hmm...? Sorry... mind wondering at the moment..." He said, turning around. "And you're a Champion too...?! Wow... I never thought a Champion would be so... forceful to the Gym Leaders like that!" He shrugged. "Champions don't, but Elite Four members do..." She blinked. "Huh...?" "I am the Champion of the Johto region while also the leader of the Kanto Elite Four..." He said. "Although, later this year, I might be losing one of them to keep the other..." |

"That's correct, however... the Johto Elite were so ashamed of their loss that they disbanded... currently, the Pokemon League is trying to decide on making my Elite Four members as the final challenge for trainers in both Kanto and Johto..." He turned to them. "As of now, the Kanto Champion position is empty... but, the League is deciding to merge the Johto Champion title with Kanto's... and if I were to keep the title, then I have to give up my position as Elite Four member and select a replacement... they'll make a decistion after this year's Kanto League is over and done with..." "But, that could take months! Why are they taking this long to decide?!" "To solve a two-year old mystery..." He said. "And if you want to know what it is, then think of what just happened here..." |

"It started when Giovanni vanished for a few months and came back with no reason... this kept going and the League got fed up when over half of the eight Gym Leaders left and returned with no reasons..." "Over half...?" "Out of eight, five vanished and returned... the League got fed up that they decided to make Sub-Gyms in towns near the main ones so trainers can get an official Gym Badge if they lost to the main Gym Leader or can't challenge them..." |
