When he overheard the price, even when he was arguing with Pikachu, he felt his heart explode. "WHA?!? No ten-year old has THAT kind of money!!! And you gotta be kidding me!! That bike looked like something a fi-" And quickly, he covered Ash's mouth. "I'm pretty sure Ash can work it out down the road," Gritting, sternly at him, "Will you?" Nervously, he nodded. |

"I'll go get her. You guys wait here." jogging back, he turned around and dashed down the boardwalk. "Man..." he growled. He just couldn't believe he was stuck paying for some dumb bike. Not only that, Pikachu just had to rat on him. "Where is he...?" Looking around, he spotted Pikachu trotting down a path that led out of the river docks, and right to a Pokemon Center, up the hill. "Pikachu!" Ash quickly ran after him. |

Not exactly... For Pikachu had his sights set on the outdoor cafe tables set near the green lawn surrounding the building. But why the tables, as he leaped onto one? Why because of... ...ketchup!!! Yes, his sensitive nose caught the scent of the delectable condiment and couldn't help but be drawn to it. "Eh?" The moment he caught up, he saw Pikachu... Chugging down the red bottle of ketchup. |

"Yeah..." he grumbled, afraid he was trying to run away. Well, at least he had some idea what to use Pikachu with, if he behaves rudely. Still, he was angry with him. Well, since they're at a Pokemon Center, "Come on, Pikachu..." When he headed for the door, he spotted a glass-plated sign, with a large flyer that caught his eye.
Johto Battle Frontier
Tyro Tournament
Behold, Battle Frontier, where trainers come to test their skills against the best, right in Battle Tower. They can also take on different challenges in different buildings that have their own unique rules to make Pokemon Battles challenging.
But here, in Johto, they are hosting a special tournament for beginner trainers up to two badges, for all open regions to come. Prizes are rewarded for first, second, and third.
3rd place: A item of your choosing
2nd place: A item and TM of your choosing.
1st place: All of the above, plus a Pokemon (Basic/Baby) of your choosing.
The tournament will take place July 12. Those from Johto can get there from the bullet trains in Goldenrod. Kanto can take St Anne ships in Vermilion City or Cerulean Cape. From Unova, you can take ships from Nuvema Town or Castelia City.
