Within the Pokemon Center, the grandson of Professor Oak sat at a table... ...looking at his current team after healing... ...and replaced Rattata with his latest rare capture... Now, all he needs to do is train them... looking up his Pokedex... Squirtle (Female) LV/15 EXP: 40/45 Nidoran Male LV/6 EXP: 11/18 Eevee (Male) LV/6 EXP: 11/18 Growlithe (Male) LV/5 EXP: 9/15 Starly (Female) LV/7 EXP: 19/21 Venipede (Male) LV/3 EXP: 9/9 ....Squirtle doesn't need training, but the others do. And if he wants to win in his first Gym, he has to make sure the others are up to it... but, how...?

Well one would question why he's asking that, for he is the grandson of Professor Oak. Surely, he knew first hand that the way to train Pokemon, other than constantly battling wild Pokemon is make them go on rigorous exercises. It's quite elementary, after all. But just to humor him...
Gary wasn't the only one in the Centre, for many young trainers were around, tending to their Pokemon in many ways. Wither its giving their Pokemon to the nurses to be healed, cleaning them in the local washing pool, out in the back, playing or training with them in various activities and exercises, or battling other trainers, outside, the trainers were always with their Pokemon.

Well, he decided to give his Pokemon some good exercise... if he can find one that'll boost his Pokemon's power to match Squirtle's... he'll be a happy boy... increased smugness included... So, he headed out the back...

Which lead him to the wash pool where, again, trainers use it to wash their Pokemon. It was also used to let their water Pokemon play in the water.

And soon enough, someone walked past the pool. A young man, stoic man. And his cute little Charmander.

"Seriously, how can this be training...?" He asked out loud as he washed Venipede, hand on hip. "Lame..." He agreed... if only he had a bar of soap...

"Training?" Asked the young man, looking over. "Char?" He looked over too, copying his trainer.

"Yes, training..." He dryly said. He'll give this a few more minutes... if nothing happens, he'll just go and find another thing to train...

"..." Well, that wasn't a good conversation starter. Maybe this kid knows about what he's after...so he opened his mouth. "Uh-" "Whoa! Check this out!" Said a loud voice, rushing through...straight toward the Growlithe.

"Growl?" He blinks. "What now...?" He asked, turning around to face the new voice... with the hose to spray on him/her≥... for added comedy effect.

"WAUGH!" And the water splashed on the female figure... Be thankful she's wearing a dark shirt. "Bleh...what'd you do that for?!" "Uuuh?" Well, that was unexpected.

He switched the hose off. "Sorry..." Yeah, Gary apologized... there's a first.

"Oh, uh...don't worry about it. I got another outfit back at the Center." She stood up, brushing herself off. "Anywho, I was just admiring your Growlithe. He looks good!" She beamed. He looked over at the Growlithe himself. "Hm?"

"Why, thank you! Trained him myself!" He grins. ....despite only trading for the pup and hasn't used him much as all he did was used Oddish as a ball...
