Ardos is one of the two sons of Grand Master Greevil, the true leader of Cipher. He doesn't see Greevil has his father, but the Grand Master who would have taken over Pokearth with an army of Shadow Pokemon, led by Shadow Lugia. He, along with his brother Eldes, acted as Greevil's bodyguards.
He first met the future threat of Cipher, Micheal, at Gateon Port to teach a secret member of their group, Zook, a lesson.
Zook threatened Michael's little sister, Jovi, with a Shadow Zangoose. For showing off a Shadow Pokemon in public, Ardos took to himself to punish Zook a lesson and easily beating the Zangoose with a single Psychic from Alakazam. After that, they left Michael and Jovi alone... unaware that Michael would ruin every single plan of Cipher up until their final battle on Citadark Island.
Ardos had three Shadow Pokemon his team... Swellow, Snorlax and Electabuzz. He was horrified all three of them were Snagged by Michael while his non-Shadow Pokemon were defeated. He left Michael alone for a while, knowing that he's still got to face other Cipher members, as well as Eldes...
However, much later, he arrived to see Grand Master Greevil on his knees... Shadow Lugia... and the Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Tauros, Exeggutor and Rhydon... all the Shadow Pokemon... were Snagged by Michael. Enraged, he tried to convince Greevil to blow up the island... killing Michael... but, also killing all the members of Cipher and their Pokemon.
Ardos nearly did, but Eldes came... Eldes was more open-minded and wasn't as corrupt as Ardos was. Ardos left in disgust as Eldes was able to convince Greevil to give up, open his eyes and surrender.
Now, Ardos is on the run... with Cipher defeated, he avoided being arrest and is now travelling the world to gain more power in order to make Cipher the biggest threat once more.
He is now travelling in one of the two most popular main regions of Pokemon to do his training... and he vows that no one will stop him... no one!
