Shadow Pokemon
After Pokemon Gale of Darkness...
Cipher quickly left Orre, but with lack of funding and resources. So they had no choice but to side with Team Rocket, who was interested in the Shadow project. Using Shadow, they plan on injecting Shadow energy into the Pokemon they stole, turning them into weapons. However, their true goal with it is unknown...
...but something happened, as their latest batch fell out of a truck that was delivering it. The Shadow energy spread into the atmosphere, across Kanto and Johto. While it has no effect on tamed Pokemon, wild Pokemon that would be effected by it, would turn into a Shadow Pokemon.
WARNING: Any trainer that would come in contact with a Shadow Pokemon should stay clear. If you manage to catch one, DO NOT use it in battles. They are considered illegal; a class 2 felony. Please deliver the Shadow Pokemon to a nearby Pokemon Center, and you'll be rewarded with...

There is a mysterious power lurking around, that is connected with Shadow. This power could be in any Pokemon, waiting to be unleashed to wash away the Shadow. Very few Pokemon has a hidden power that brings out a holy light that can purify Shadow Pokemon. While the power doesn't have other attributes, so far, only one Pokemon, so far, has this power, yet it is not known to the public yet.
And it's owned by a certain goofy trainer.
However, this does not mean it is the only one. Anyone who apps a character, or catches a Pokemon, there is a chance the Pokemon has this hidden power.
