 Stepping into the route from Pallet Town, he was in awe... it's amazing that he's just became a trainer with an ancient Pokemon... This is so cool... this is so awesome!!! Right... what to do first...?The boy sat down, unpacking his map and book, reading them carefully... "OK... says here that the town beyond this route is Viridian..." He hummed, reading the book carefully. "...it has a Gym that contains the most powerful Gym Leader of Kanto, but... he's always missing... so..." He rubbed his chin. "...hmm... well, I might start collecting badges, but... I need to get more Pokemon... as well as being a good trainer to Cranidos... speaking of which..." He took out Cranidos' Pokeball, tapped it and brought up his data...  Cranidos Lv. 1 HP: 12 Power: 3 Defense: 4 Speed: 1 Sp Defense: 2 Sp Power: 2 EXP: 3/3 "I was afraid of that... Starter Pokemon are usually given out at Lv5, however... Pokemon hatched from eggs would be at Lv1... that what it says in that book..." He said, sighing slightly. "Oh well... at least I know my first task is to have Cranidos a bit stronger..." He tapped the Poke Ball. "Let's see what moves that Cranidos knows...?" |

Leer
Smack Down
Headbutt - (Power/Normal) After attack roll, roll a 10-sided dice. If 3 or lower, the foe is flinched upon impact.
Smack Down - (Power/Rock) This increases Power by 10% this turn. Also, if the foe is airborne, Smack Down forces it onto the ground, removing the effects of Magnet Rise and Telekinesis. Smack Down makes its target vulnerable to Ground-type moves and Arena Trap even if it is Flying-type or has Levitate. Smack Down can hit a target that is using Fly or Bounce and knock it to the ground (canceling the move). It can also hit a Pokémon that is using or is affected by Sky Drop, but can't knock it down. A Pokémon hit with Smack Down can still use Fly or Bounce on subsequent turns.

Pokemon become stronger, basically through battling. By burning away all its EXP, they gain a level.
Another way to gain levels is by having them condemn basic exercise. However, by doing this drain half their maximum HP, but they gain EXP based on their current level, and does not waste your Chance stat. A good trainer always have their Pokemon train in exercises the trainer usually does. "Training sounds good, but it won't work on a Level 1 Pokemon..." He admits. "I guess I'm going to chance it and have you face a Pokemon..." He glanced around. "I just hope it's a low level too..." |

 Wild Rattata appears!! Level 2
On the side of the road, he would see a purple rodent, nibbling on the grass, as if it was looking for food. Never one to notice any human beings nearby. At least until now.
The rodent sniffed the air, the scent leading its nose to Tayten's direction. It smelled food in its bag, and by god, it will be his. So, charging with its tiny legs, the Rattata made a bee-line for Tayten.

HP: 9/10 Snarling, it leaped at the dino, not caring if its skin was rock-solid. It was hungry, and it was going to get its food, by force if nessicary, and no rocky reptile was going to stop it.

A fierce headbutt, it made, causing the rodent to fly onto a rock. It just bounced off it, rolling over it. Such a hit that would make it see stars.

It felt like all was lost. His dream of having a delightful snack was taken away. He wondered if he'll still dream while in starvation, but such thoughts was halted as The PokéBall flew through the air and collided right with rat's head. Before one could say "gotta catch 'em all", the little rodent had been taken inside the confines of the PokéBall by a mysterious red aura.
Now within the Pokeball, Rattata made little struggle to escape. It shook once. Twice. Three times. Then...
Ding!
Locked, it was!

He smiled at Cranidos. "Come on... let's keep moving..." "Crani!!!"

 Wild Poochyena appears!!Level 3
A brown bird flew by, across the boy's path, carrying a berry in its beak.
Behind it was a rapid group of barking. The barks grew louder when a trio pack of black canines stopped in the grass, barking at the bird the climbed into the air. Since they can't fly, their chances of getting the berry from the bird was slim.
But wait! Their noses picked up some delightful scents. They turned their faces right at the boy. Yes, he was ripe with the scent of food, probably in his bag. Snarling, they growled at him...
...but one of them caught the sight of the large rocky dino. The build of it, and those teeth...not even they dared to stand up to it.
Well...one of them, at least. It backed away, whimpering. Leaving two, either brave or stubborn, to challenge it for the food.
This is what happens when you go into grass without a Pokemon. Remember that, kiddies.
