"That thing is a rock type?!?" Now that he noticed, the Pokemon's skin does look rock surfaced. He never noticed, for he was too confident in his new Pokemon's ability. "Yeah, well, if I caught the one that took out those Poochyenas..."
Growling, the boy recalled the unconscious bug into its poke-ball. "Fine! I'll settle with Rattata!!" tossing out another poke-ball...
A purple little rodent emerged on the ground, snapping its fangs around, just itching for battle.

Now this kid was rude, the youngster thought. His face puffed as much as a bratty kid can do. "Oh shut up!! Rattata, use Headbutt!!"
Lv. 6 HP: 15 Power: 6 Speed: 6 Defense: 3 Sp Power: 2 Sp Defense: 2 Obeying the word of its trainer, the rat leaped at the dino, flying at it, head-first. At least it has a solid skull if the attack can't damage the Cranidos.

Though the trainer's determination was wavering. "Uh...use Tail Whip!!"
Quickly, the rodent swung its tail about, whipping the large reptile's skin.

[dice=3] "RATTAAAA!!!" Sadly, though it withstood the first strike, its endurance had its limits. One charge from the Cranidos, and it was enough to ram the little rodent far across the field. Skidding through the dirt, it left a trail of smoke, as the rat passed out.
"R-Rattata!!" he cried, hurrying over to the rodent.

As if he forgotten about Tayten, the boy scooped up his Rattata, and raced off across the field, heading to the city, ahead. The condition of his Pokemon exceeded more than wondering what kind of Pokemon THAT was, that he fought.

He watched the boy run off... ...while he went over to his trainer's side, looking happy. "Craaaaaani!!!" He looked at Cranidos and smiled. "Good job... not long till we arrive at Viridian, boy..." He held up the Pokeball. "Go back inside and have a good rest..." "Crani!!!" And back he went... Sighing, he clipped his Pokeball and had a thought... three Pokemon so far... his starter, Rattata and Poochyena... not bad for his first day... Let's see what I can do in the next town... He thought to himself as he walked towards the next town... and leaving Route 1... |
