Mt Moon! The mighty mountain dividing the Hamlet and land of Cerulean, filled with many asteroids from space containing somethings undiscovered... And a certain champion was here to find them. He walked up the mountain path leading toward the opening. 'Hm, with all the commotion about, it would be nice to have some time to relax with my hobby.' He smiled, eager to see what's inside the Mountain. His faithful friend on his shoulder, looking over.

"....." "...." They weren't too impressed. "May I help you, sir?" It would make sense for the cave to be full of trainers and enthusiastic people.

"Do not come any step closer!!" the nerd quickly put on a hard helmet which looked like something from Mega Man and performed some shaky karate poses. "If you come to do harm to Mt. Moon and the Clefairy, you must get past me! I should warn you, I'm a white belt!"

"I'm well aware of what's inside there." He looked over at the mountain. "I just came for research on rare stones, and Mt. Moon seemed like a good location to go." "...." This guy didn't sit right with him.

"Uh? Seriously?!" he asked, adjusting his glasses. "Well if you are, surely you must have some type of journal or something on your studies to prove it."

"As a matter of fact..." He reached into his bag and pulled out a small book with the title "discovered stones". "Ive been around nearly every cave and excavation site in Hoenn searching for rare stones, and this contains information on every one of them Ive found." Indeed it did, as it contained dates, pictures and notes of various stones, like the Fire Stone. "Proof enough for you, sir?"

In a blink of an eye, the book was gone from Steven's hands, for the nerd just eyed it like a kid in a candy store. "Wow! Such detailed information. Gah?!?! I didn't know the Fire Stones can be theoretically made from concentrated temper of molten lava over sphere stones."

"...." He looked over at the man flipping through his pages. 'Well, glad to know he's...energetic.' Before the scientest knew it, Aron launched himself into his back. "AR!" It didn't like him taking his master's things without asking first.

"AAAAAGH!!" he cried, wobbling toward the ground. "Heavy heavy heavy!!" And fell to the ground.

"Ar..." It stood proudly on his back, glaring down at him. The man came up, picking Aron up. "I apoligise, sir. Aron is very overprotective." He helped the man up.

"So I...noticed..." he groaned in pain as he picked himself up to his knees. "But...sorry for misjudging you. I was afraid you were one of those cruel people in disguise that tried to harm the caverns."

"Cruel people?" He asked. "Were there other visitors?"

"Yes. But I didn't get a good look at them last night, for they were in black." Gritting, it looked like he was about to cry. "But....but they kidnapped some of the Clefairys here."

"!" He looked rather surprised. 'Hm, could it be that same group with Shadow Pokemon...?' He looked deep in thought. "Ar?" He looked up at Steven. "Hm, that's certainly not good..."
