Iris is very invasive, often deliberately provoking Pokémon, which leads to her getting a beating. Also, she has an innate fear for any Ice Pokémon, mainly due to their high effectiveness against Dragon-types. In addition, her people-skills aren't exactly that good.
Personality:
Iris is wild, bold, obnoxious, and very adventurous. While she really respects Drayden and longs to follow in his footsteps as a Gym Leader, she also loves traveling across the land, seeing new Pokémon and sights. She's also a quick thinker; being able to evade dangerous situations with a lot more finesse than others around her. Not to mention, she's a fan of most Pokémon.

History:
Iris originally came from a village that resided not too far from a mountain range, where Axew and Fraxures were abundant. When she came of age, she was given her Axew, and was tasked to journey and raise it to become a Haxorus. On her journey, she came into Opelucid City, where she encountered the Gym Leader and mayor of the city, Drayden. After their first meeting, they became friends, and Drayden eventually took Iris as his apprentice, to become the Gym Leader when he would eventually retire.
