While she has a passion for Pokémon Contests, as an assistant of Professor Rowan, she has a primary goal of recording information regarding the Pokémon of the region, so she alternates between dolling up her team for various contests, and preparing them for tougher battles. She doesn't have too high a tolerance for random shenanigans if the situation doesn't call for it, but that doesn't mean that she can't enjoy a laugh once in a while. She also happens to enjoy things that require a sense of patience

Born and raised in Sandgem Town, Platinum has had many an opportunity to get to associate with the region's Professor Rowan. When she got to a certain age, she was asked by the Professor to become his assistant, and record data of the region's Pokémon for him; something she found coincided greatly with her desire to be a Pokémon Coordinator, after seeing her idol, Johanna, on TV. Thus, she takes time to both be a Pokémon Coordinator and a Pokémon trainer at the same time.
