She's scared of ghost type Pokemon, so much so she hopes to Arceus that there doesn't exist a Ghost/Grass Type. She loves Grass types a bit too much, to the point where she'd be distracted away from a match. Of course, Ice and Fire types would also be her weakness...as well as haunted houses.
Personality:
Gardenia's a very friendly Gym Leader, young and vibrant, able to help any new trainer who needs it. She's a Grass type and plant enthusiast, loves all sorts of new and old grass types she encounters, and is curious to learn all about them in the future. Almost a bit TOO eager at times, though. A little skittish of ghosts, she'll jump around at the mere mention of a ghost.

History:
As a young girl, Gardenia grew up around flora and plants all her life in her mother's gym. She was to be raised to be the next successor to the Gym, but a fight with her mother nearly changed all that, and had her run away from home. She arrived at a haunted manor in the forest, and ended up getting scared out of her wits thanks to Ghost Pokemon. She ran back home and cried her eyes out in her mother's arms, promising she wouldn't run away again. So she continued to work around the Gym and gardens, loving plants and grass Pokemon alike. But also fearing Ghost Pokemon, and what they held for her future...
