Still in the 'boys vs girls' phase, Brendan believes boys are stronger than girls, and is stuck in the stereotypical vision of girls. Also, he can be skeptical when it comes to mystical things, and wants to find the scientific means of it. He's also a bit eccentric.
Personality:
Brendan is initially skeptical, abrasive, sexist and immature and was always sharp-witted...as far as some people would describe him. But, he liked to keep smiles on his friends' faces using his wit, sarcastic humor, and overall eccentricity. As son of a great professor, he takes his footsteps seriously, as well as science...though like his dad, he's a bit clumsy, and have a bit of a temper, which can lead him as a underdog.

Brendan, being looked out by his dad alot, was inspired by his work and hopes to follow his footsteps. Around Littlerot, he would go around, looking at the harmless Pokemon that comes around town. However, his clumsiness and eccentric personality leads him to be the clown of town by the young children. Because of this, he had little friends, and hides behind his work to shield himself from this knowledge.
Now that he was 11, he can finally have his own Pokemon and venture the world to learn to be a researcher.
