As the boat from the Sevii Islands came to a stop by the Pallet Town harbor, it allowed its passengers to disembark, with new ones embarking. Among them, one of the passengers disembarking rubbed his head. "Hm..." Glancing around him, his eyes were narrowed as he frowned a touch. An unknown place... he wasn't entirely sure where to go, but he knew he had to get a Pokémon to get started on his training with. With that in mind, he began walking along the road off the harbor; adjusting the bag he held slung over his shoulder.pallet

Here is where he would be near; the only house that stood out in this vast country-side.

"...hrm..." With a shrug, he began walking up the slope towards this house; figuring he could ask for directions there at least.

Well he didn't have to knock on the door, for a researcher person was at the porch, sweeping it with a broom.

Noticing him, he approached him. "...hey!" he called as he waved. "Could you tell me where I could find any Pokémon?"

"......" As much as he liked to make a sarcastic comment, that was not in his nature. Being dignified that he was, "Pokemon are everywhere, my boy. You just have to know where to look."

"...oh, right." He nodded, before he glanced to the side and rubbed his neck. "...thing is, though... I dunno where to look. I just got here..."

Something about this boy stuck him...not bright. "I take it you don't have a Pokemon. Do you even have a trainers license?"

"...I need a license for this stuff?" He looked at the professor with a tilted head. "I didn't know that..."

Jeez, it was like this guy came out of nowhere. Luckily, he has the authority to hand out licenses. "Well, at least you came to the right person for the job. Come with me, my boy." he said, walking inside the house.

"...alright..." With a shrug, he followed him inside.

Meanwhile, up in the air... "Let's see...if I make a turn here, I should reach Sinnoh in about...no, wait...this map was upside down...GAAAAAAAAH!!!" Screamed the figure, as she struggled in the map. "Stupid maps! Why don't they make 'em easier to navigate?!" "Mand..." Sighed a flying figure in the air, as her rider became angered.

Inside, they would be at a living room, right at the corner of a hall. "I am Professor Oak, a Pokemon Researchers who studies the relations between Pokemon and humans. And being a researcher of my caliber allows me to hand out licenses." Looking through the drawers of a desk, he pulled out a form. "Just fill out this form, would you?"

"Oh, really?" he hummed as Oak explained who he was, before he took the form. "...hn... seems straight-forward enough..." With a nod, he took a pen and began... sloppily filling it in. Apparently, he wasn't too well-versed in writing.

"...ok, Ann...you can do this..." She said, as she pulled the map out of her pack again and took another look. "Oh, this is the wrong map..." She pulled out another...and another...and another...until she was wrapped up. "...ok, I can't do this...DAMN MAPS!" She growled and tossed a few in the air, but seeing as how she was tangled in them, the wind pulled her off the Pokemon and... "...oh no...!" She dropped. The flying type went along, before she turned and saw her drop. "MAN!?" She swooped after her.
