Even in cities like Pewter, you can catch Pokemon. Many of them hang around in parks and sewers.

Route 3 Levels 5-12
75 %25 %Sandshrew | Jigglypuff | | |
This route takes 3 to 4 battles to finish. Afterwards, there are three ways to go. One way leads to a small town called Moon Hamlet. Another way leads to Mt. Moon. And another way leads straight to Route 4. Take your pick.
Moon Hamlet
This town was built as a mining village nearby Mt. Moon, while miners dug for Moon Stones. However, the mining business was shut down to help preserve the nature of Mt. Moon; to keep Clefairies from being hurt or chased away. But from this day, the village was still kept as nothing but a tourist town. This town has its own Pokemon Center and PokeMart, as well as a its own Gym.
Anne and MarieRun by the Micheals Twins, Anne and Marie. These wealthy gym leaders don't get much trainers often, for they rather go to the Pewter Gym, and you can't win their badge if you already have the Bolder Badge. But if you decide on going to their gym, you better have experience in a fun house.
That's right, their gym is moon based, as well as it's similar to a mirror house. They use tricks to try to fool you to battle other trainers waiting for you, by reflecting their images on various mirrors. If you reach them, their Pokemon are those that evolve from Moon Stones.
Oh yes! They allow TWO trainers to come in, at once, for they allow double battles.
Anne She a rather bratty and rude girl that doesn't regret insulting you. She prefers brawn over strategy.

Marie Anne's twin sister, who is the timid one. She always tries to be the peace keeper; preventing any tension Anne might had cause. Unlike Anne, she likes to be careful, and use strategy before brawn.
