You know how they says girls are sugar and spice? Well that's Paula alright, one minute she'll be all sweet and cuddly towards you and the next, she's sly, conniving and a thief. She's mostly this way towards boys, manipulating them for money with her 'puppy eyes' while she sells them cheap, fake items. Despite that, Paula is a noble girl, she won't stand for people who'd abuse pokemon and willing to stand up for what she believes in.

When Paula was just a little girl, she was attacked by a giant, fierce bird. She didn't know what pokemon it was, but it caused her a phobia that still exist to this day.
Growing up, Green had come to see how boys become putty when it comes to a girl's charms, and had used it to her advantage over the years, making them get her snacks or take her to the movies. Despite such a behavior (or lack of knowing of it) she's been chosen as one of the pokedex holders of kanto.
