Brock is infamously, maybe famously, known for his hopeless romantic side. The sight of a beautiful girl, he falls in love instantly. Brock has a desperate need for female companionship which grows worse as he fails to gain it. He will do anything and everything he thinks will impress women, which inevitably ends with his heart being broken every time.
Personality:
Arguably mature and intelligent, Brock is quite level-headed, and knows a great deal of knowledge in Pokémon. He often acts as an older brother and caretaker to others and a voice of reason in disputes. He will usually place others before him and will help and support his friends even against his better judgment or at his own expense. While he is not shown to battle often, he can understand the situations and strategies in any Pokémon battle, and often explains them to the others.

Pokémon, breeding, women (older women, though...or at least those around his age.)
Dislikes:
Being shot down by women, people mistaking rice balls for donuts (or vise versa)

History:
Not much is known about his early childhood, except that his first Pokémon was his Onix, which he received as a gift at the age of 10. Sometime after, his father, Flint, left home to become a great Trainer. When he never returned, his mother, Lola, left them as well to search for her husband, leaving Brock to take care of his siblings, as well as their house and Pewter Gym.
That was until he got a challenger, by the name of Ash, who was obviously out-matched against Brock. But the boy was too stubborn to realize that, as he came back for a re-match with his super-charged Pikachu. His electricity hit the fire sprinklers, thus weakening Brock's Onix, but Ash stopped the match feeling that was unfair. But Brock gave him the Bolder Badge, and asked him to fulfill his dream of being a breeder for him. But luckily, his father returned and took the responsibilities of the gym and the kids, allowing Brock to travel with Ash to fulfill his dreams.
Since then, Brock became a trusted companion for Ash.
